Flexibits Releases Fantastical 1.3 for Mac: Now With iCal and iOS Reminders!

ROSEVILLE, California – May 30, 2012 – Flexibits today announced that Fantastical 1.3, an update for the top-selling and innovative Mac calendar app, is now available. This update adds support for iCal and iOS reminders and is free for all existing customers.

Fantastical 1.3 automatically detects events and reminders based on what the user has entered, creating the appropriate event or reminder.

“Our biggest feature request from our users was support for iCal and iOS reminders,” said Michael Simmons, Co-Founder of Flexibits. “With Fantastical 1.3, users can now enter events and reminders in natural language.”

Fantastical’s advanced natural language engine makes it extremely expressive, allowing users to enter event or reminder text in their own style. For example, enter a sentence such as “Lunch with John at 123 Main Street on Tuesday” and Fantastical will instantly translate the sentence into an event and add it to the calendar. Enter a sentence such as “Buy milk by tomorrow” and Fantastical will instantly translate the sentence into a reminder and add it to the reminder list.

The event/reminder list and calendar let users easily locate and plan all events and reminders. Calendar color and beautiful design help users make quick sense of their schedule. Even the number of events and reminders displayed can be customized so users can focus on a specific range of events and reminders.

Fantastical is fully localized in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, allowing users to enter events in their preferred language. Fantastical automagically detects their entered language regardless of their system language setting.

Best of all, CalDAV sync is built-in, letting services such as iCloud, Google Calendar, and Yahoo! Calendar work with Fantastical once the user’s account information has been added to iCal.

Pricing & Availability

Fantastical for Mac is available now for $19.99 (US) from Apple’s Mac App Store or directly from the Flexibits Store. Fantastical requires OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or OS X 10.7 Lion. Fantastical 1.3 is a free update for all existing customers.
