Apple shares dedicated page w/ updates from today’s iPhone/Wearable event

In addition to hyping today’s event with a countdown on the home page, Apple has debuted a dedicated page on its website to presumably break down the announcements shared by the company later today. The microsite so far includes photographs, captions, and a tweet from Apple CEO Tim Cook hyping the event under the header Apple Live. The blog-style page marks a first for Apple and how it presents its special events. Each tile, for instance, can be shared across the web with support for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, email, and URL linking.

Apple shared last week that today’s special event will be live streamed, and this morning the Apple Events channel was revived on Apple TV. We’re expecting to see new iPhones introduced alongside a preview of Apple’s long-expected wearable device, and 9to5Mac will be covering the event as it unfolds so stay tuned!

This is starting to feel bigger and bigger. Maybe they are announcing more then what is known?

I’ve got a feeling you’re right. Too much buzz for just an iPhone in my opinion. Wouldn’t it be great if they false leaked the iphone design we’ve been seing for the past few months and the new iphone runs on lasers or star dust?

The times are messed up though, at least on my Mac in Europe… It says Tim Cook’s tweet was from 4:47 p.m.

This is designed for people at work who can’t watch video of the event.
It is also clearly designed with social media in mind.

One of the tweets is posted from Marie Claire, a fashion reporter it seems…

  8. Oh are you actually able to watch the live stream? All I get is 1. Chinese overdubbing 2. Stuttering video quality 3. Frozen video and 4. upon refreshing the page Access Denied

You don’t have permission to access “http://www.apple.com/live/2014-sept-event/” on this server.

    Super. Disappointed.
