Yeah I might have to wait later than 8am to get a phone but I at least am guaranteed a phone tomorrow… Plus I don’t have to wait in no kind of line…

    • Mr. Grey (@mister_grey) - 10 years ago

Yeah, but if you preordered instead, you would get the phone delivered to your door at the same time, or within a day of the same time, without lining up like a goon in the rain.

      • Mr. Grey (@mister_grey) - 10 years ago

        Oops!

Edit: I just realised your comment said the exact opposite of what I thought it said right after I hit the “post” button. Apologies. This place really needs a system where you can edit or delete your comments.

      • Not necessarily. I look at all these photographs and it’s beautiful, it’s exciting! It’s being part of a world movement. History being made.

      • samamichael - 10 years ago

Doesn’t appear that anyone is waiting in the rain in any of these photos.

      • Jessie (@ItsMeJJP) - 10 years ago

hahaha, i was like thats what i just said, its all good tho! im still waiting but its better than waiting in line all night…

Samsung, you will NEVER have the brand loyalty Apple has, NEVER! Congrats to Apple again!

    • imacaddict - 10 years ago

Samsung dreams of the kind of loyalty that customers show for Apple products. You’ll NEVER see a line, at all, or at least not the one that Apple generates outside its stores.

    • android fanboys keep wondering why people keep going to apple… on paper apple doesnt have specs like the top androids but as some that has uses both, apple’s product just works better. i dont know how they do it. things like more mega pixels and a better front camera would be better but the iphone 5s still takes better shots than the higher mega pixel guys too so i imagine the 6 and 6 plus will be that much better

Apple sheep = cult of people who overpay for old technology.

If you pre-ordered your iPhone 6 and are expecting delivery tomorrow via UPS and you have your tracking number: Create a My Choice UPS account and request UPS to “Will Call” (hold your iPhone 6 for pick up at a local UPS Customer Center) for pickup as early as 8:00AM and you get to avoid the lines.

    • I just found out from Verizon that the 6+ order will be delayed until October. I ordered it on the 12th at 12:03 am!

    • verizon2828 - 10 years ago

I’m not sure if that’s an option. I called yesterday to see if I could change my delivery address from my work to my home and they said Apple has locked everything down. No address changes and a 1st delivery attempt is required.

I’m sorry if I insult anyone butthis is what Android users don’t understand about us, we are a cult, we are not stupid like you guys say, because apparently Android users are the smartest of the world but whatever, people line up because they are getting the best of the best, they know that there is going to be a joy and a smile when they unbox their iPhones, thank you have a great day!!

Looks like its time for another Shamskum butt-hurt line waiters “add”. Bring it on, third class company.

  6. chrisl84 - 10 years ago

Pre orderings no fun, get outside and meet some fellow iphone users. It’s fun

    • PMZanetti - 10 years ago

Its really not. I tried it once. Those people are just weird. No two ways about it.

    • OneOkami (@OneOkami) - 10 years ago

No thanks. I get outside every single day. I’ve got a job, a dog, patience and plenty of other things to do with my time. I understand it’s an “experience” for some people, but for me it’d feel like an unnecessarily huge waste of my time.

    • imacaddict - 10 years ago

Pre-ordering may not be “fun” but it sure beats having to stand in line waiting to buy something. I’ve settled with pre-ordering the iPhone 6 and picking it up on my way to WORK from the local UPS center I pass every day in the morning. Some of us have careers, family, etc. and don’t have the time to wait outside a store to buy something.

      • chrisl84 - 10 years ago

Some of us have careers? Lol…do you order your groceries online, buy gas online, that 30 minutes to buy a phone must be just too hard

  7. kathycorby - 10 years ago

Yeah, come on you guys. It’s a sleepover! Geek out all night and apple employees serve your coffee and sweet rolls in the early morning hours. I’ve got a 6+ showing up in 7-10 days but I’m here for the party

  8. Taste_of_Apple - 10 years ago

Less than a day to go.

“Around the World”? That’s a really long line!

  11. rettun1 - 10 years ago

I waited in line for the original iPad for a few hours. It was cool, unfortunately it was raining a little, but apple handed out umbrellas to most of the people who didn’t have any. and I saw them do that again at the 5s launch when I walked past.

I don’t understand a lot of the hate people give it. I guess when you can’t make fun of the product, you make fun of the people who use it. And people just do both anyway…

    • verizon2828 - 10 years ago

I waited in line at the local Best Buy for my iPad Air last year. Kind of a disappointment actually. I was there at 5am….alone. Nobody even showed up until 7am and then the line actually started forming at 7:30am for an 8am opening. Ended up being 3rd in line which is fine. The big let down was the unorganized clusterfuck by the Best Buy employees. I know they aren’t Apple, but I also know this wasn’t their first Apple launch either. I preordered the 6 Plus and will be enjoying it around Noon today. WAHOO!

I am an APPLE lover and i love Apple but getting in lines just to get the new Apple iPhone is ridiculous. First of all the new iPhone slots will have defects as they are the new pieces and it always comes out with issues.I preordered my iPhone 5S when it was about to get launched,oh boy i had some serious issues with my phone and later i got a replacement so the first slot is shit and expensive. It is always better to wait for a bit so that the prices go a bit down as the plans including the phones are expensive. Also these people in the lines are mostly buyers who are doing business, by business i mean selling these phones on ebay or shipping to different countries.I live in India and my cousin is going to ship me iphone 6 so that i can give it to my boss. Yes people back in India are crazy for Apple products. Than again there are many people who has the money to buy iPhones but they don’t know the features of it like these http://viralexpose.com/funny-pranks/people-are-dumb-this-guy-lies-to-people-about-some-fake-functions-of-iphone-6-and-how-people-believe-it-is-shocking/
We are living in the 21st century, we have money to spend, it will be really better if we spend it wisely or i should say know we are spending not just blindly get something that is so hip/…Cheers

    • herb02135go - 10 years ago

      Great point, Neha.
People who automatically buy the latest of any brand arent just taking a risk of getting a defective product they are also slowing innovation.

If a company knows it has a captive audience then it wont innovate. Why be bold or “think different” if you make money with lame upgrades that are already available on competing phones?

Many of the new features on the iPhone have been available on the last Samsung Galaxy S5. That is indisputable.
Maybe the iphone 7 will have multitasking and be water resistant like my current phone?

  13. Scott Lunsford - 10 years ago

The execs at Samsung would trade their souls for this type of brand loyalty and media coverage!

  14. Raksmey Ea (@raksmey89) - 10 years ago

All the other companies that make fun of the so-called “iSheeps” “iDiots”. They themselves would give up their left nuts just to have half a line Apple has.
