Amazon will let you make a purchase with a tap on your Apple Watch in new app update

As the first Apple Watch units begin to arrive on the doorsteps of customers, Amazon this evening has updated its iPhone app with support for Apple’s latest device. The Apple Watch Amazon app is full of features, including the ability to complete purchases from your wrist and add items to your Wish List. There’s also support for Apple’s Handoff feature.

To find a product with the Amazon app on Apple Watch, you simply use your voice to search and then select the correct result. From there, you can choose to either save the item to your Wish List or purchase it, all directly on your wrist. If you choose to purchase the item, you’ll be prompted with a single button that says “Buy now with 1-Click.” If, for whatever reason, you need to change your shipping settings, you can use Handoff and seamlessly open the Amazon app on your iPhone right from where you left off on the Apple Watch.

The update is available now on the App Store for free. You can read our full list of the best Apple Watch apps here.

I just can’t imagine a situation when I would need to make a purchase on Amazon on a watch using both of my hands instead of using my iPhone where that could be done faster with just one hand.
