Deutsche Bank publishes an annual report comparing prices for a wide range of products around the world, and Business Insider pulled out average prices for the iPhone 6.
It shows that the most expensive place in the world to buy an iPhone is Brazil, where an iPhone costs more than one-and-a-half times as much as in the USA.
Other expensive countries are Indonesia, Sweden and India, all more than 1.3 times the U.S. baseline, while the cheapest is the USA followed by Hong Kong and Japan.
It should be noted that local prices for iPhones may reflect import tariffs and sales taxes, as well as currency differentials – all factors over which Apple has no control. The full table can be seen below.
