One more tale from the Farewell Flash Dept.: online video service Vevo last night announced its iPhone app has been downloaded over one million times since its release on August 18.

The HTML5-based video client exploded onto Apple’s mobile device a scant eight days ago, Music Ally notes.

The free app has become an iTunes App fo the Week, and with versions for the iPad and Android smartphones on the way we can’t help but feel this marks yet another death tone for Adobe’s once prevalent fading Flash franchise.
