Apple confirms A5X with quad-core graphics in new iPad

After unveiling the new iPad’s Retina Display, Apple execs are onstage right now confirming the new iPad will run a new dual-core A5X processor with quad-core graphics. Apple said the A5 chip is “twice as fast” as Tegra 3 and the new A5X provides “four times the performance.” We will update this post when we learn more on the specifics.
