As we originally predicted, Apple released the new iPad in 25 additional countries today, just a week after the original launch.
The third-generation iOS tablet went on-sale internationally at 8 a.m. PST and became available in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.
More line pictures are after the break.
“The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold―the strongest iPad launch yet,” said Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing in a press release earlier this week. “Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday (March 23).”
Today’s rollout is just the second wave of countries to get the new iPad. It first released March 16 to the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The “resolutionary” new iPad is procurable through the Apple Online Store, Apple’s retail stores, or at select Apple Authorized Resellers.
