Version 4.0.6 landed over the weekend with fully loaded Retina graphics. This app, which is a Best of the Mac App Store 2011 runner-up, transforms a Mac into a full-fledged DJ system. It is now compatible with AirPlay on Mountain Lion, and it features fixed playlist folders shown in the djay remote app. Djay has a 4.5-star rating on the App Store with over 300 user reviews as of press time.

Where’s My Water? by Disney for iOS | 99 cents

Version 1.7.1 boasts general bug fixes and optimized performance. It also features 20 new “Mud” levels, a new Mystery Duck mode, over 200 puzzles, and more types of ducks. “New story, new comics, new look and new ducks – a new way to play for a small additional price! Try 5 levels for free,” explained the app’s description. Where’s My Water has a 4.5-star rating on the App Store with over 101,000 user reviews as of press time.

Jurassic Park Builder by Ludia for iOS | Free

Version 1.1.0 hit today with a bug fix for startup crashes. The update also improved The New Professor quest and Meat harbor lock activation issues. The game is based on the film franchise “Jurassic Park”, and it lets users experience their own “thrilling interactive journey on the mysterious Isla Nublar!” Jurassic Park Builder has a 4-star rating on the App Store with over 6,300 user reviews as of press time.

Scanner Pro by Readdle for iOS | $6.99

Version 4.2 brings automatic upload to Evernote and Dropox and an improved batch mode. Just as one would guess, this app essentially transforms an iPhone and the new iPad into portable scanners. It can scan anything from documents and business cards to notes and whiteboards. Scanner Pro has a 4-star rating on the App Store with over 2,900 user reviews as of press time.

Movies by Flixter, with Rotten Tomatoes by Flixster for iOS | Free

Version 5.50 added higher-quality movie trailers, general bug fixes, and performance improvements. This app, which claims to be the most downloaded movie app of all time and frequently tops the App Store’s showcase sections, essentially lets users browse top box office movies, look up showtimes and reviews, and manage their Netflix queue. Flixster has a 3.5-star rating on the App Store with over 463,000 user reviews as of press time.


Inkling by Inkling Systems for iOS | Free

Version 3.0 dropped to add iPhone and iPod touch support for free. The app is essentially a platform for interactive books. The highlight and bookmark features automatically sync to the new device options, and nook navigation is optimized for the smaller screen. Inkling has a 3-star rating on the App Store with over 1,500 user reviews as of press time.

Tiny Wings HD by Andreas Illiger for iPad | $2.99

Version 2.0.1 just includes bugfixes and “tiny improvements.” The app, which is the iPhone Game of the Year in App Store Rewind 2011 in Europe and many other countries, notably features a multiplayer mode, an arcade-like style, 15 hand-designed levels, and iCloud support. Tiny Wings has a 5-star rating on the App Store with over 2,300 user reviews as of press time.
