Apps & updates: Netflix “Just for Kids”, SoundCloud, OceanHouse Media sale, more

Updates:

Netflix announced a nice addition to its iPad app today: the “Just for Kids” feature providing access to child-friendly content from one easy to access section is now available on mobile devices. You can access the new section by tapping the “just for Kids” button in the top left corner of the app.

Note: Netflix “Just for Kids” is initially available on iPad 2 and newer iPads, it will come to the original iPad and Android-powered tablets later.

SoundCloud version 2.3.1:

– Compatibility with iOS6
– iPhone 5 support
– Accessibility fixes

Adobe Acrobat 11: Today Adobe officially launched the new Acrobat XI lineup including Adobe Acrobat XI, Adobe Reader XI, Adobe EchoSign, and data analysis tool Adobe FormsCentral. All of the products are expected to ship within 30 days, according to Adobe, and will work together with Adobe Creative Cloud. Pricing is below:

  • Acrobat XI Standard is expected to be US$299 ($139 upgrade).
  • Acrobat XI Pro is expected to be US$449 ($199 upgrade).

Printer Pro for iPhone: Readdle’s Printer Pro app gets an update today bringing iPhone 5 compatibility. Readdle’s free Shakespeare app also gets updated today with iOS 6 support.

OceanHouse Media is putting four of its titles on sale for 99 cents each this week in anticipation of Halloween. One of those titles is the Dr. Seuss classic  What Was I Scared Of?, but you can get details and links to all the other titles on sale from Oct. 1-7 below:
