New albums from Rick Ross, Pharrell, and others added to First Play as Soundgarden joins iTunes Festival

iTunes Radio is quickly becoming the preferred platform for the world’s biggest stars to debut their new music. Upcoming albums from Rick Ross (Mastermind), Pharrell Williams (G I R L), Real Estate (Atlas), and Lea Michele (Louder) are now available for streaming in their entirety as iTunes First Plays. Each of the aforementioned albums are scheduled to be officially released next week.

In the live genre, this morning Soundgarden announced that it will be playing alongside artists like Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, and others at Apple’s first ever US iTunes Festival at SXSW.

The band will be performing every cut from its classic 90’s album, Superunknown, to mark its 20th anniversary.
