Rovio’s latest game in the Angry Birds series, Angry Birds Transformers, has rolled out worldwide today after its earlier soft-launch last month in New Zealand, Finland, Canada and Australia.

Gamers have been waiting for quite some time as the Transformers mash-up game was first announced back in June …
The latest adventure – a joint venture with Hasbro – is a retro-style 2D side-scrolling shoot-em-up, complete with 1980s music.
“With Angry Birds Transformers we created a totally new action packed gameplay experience, where the player gets to jump into action either on their feet or on wheels”, said Jami Laes, Executive Vice President of Games, Rovio Entertainment. “This is of course just the beginning and there’s more to come! As with all of Rovio’s games, there will be exciting updates with new content and features coming in the future.”
As ever, the game is a free download on the App Store, but don’t expect to play it for long without making in-app purchases.

it does, but it’s not findable with a simple search, odd.
While I’m generally over Angry Birds, I’m a child of the 80’s and grew up on Transformers. I love the Gen1 look of the game’s art, so I downloaded this and honestly, it’s pretty fun. At least Rovio made the concept different and unique, as compared to the Angry Bird Star Wars.
How long will I play… meh, we’ll see.
