Some Bose products now back up for sale on Apple Online Store after nearly two months

A few months ago, Apple unceremoniously dropped Bose headphones and speakers from the Apple Online and Retail Stores. The move appears to have been temporary, however, as Apple has added some Bose sound products back to its online storefront this evening, including its popular Bluetooth-enabled SoundLink III  and SoundLink Mini wireless speakers and QuietComfort acoustic noise canceling headphones.

The return of Bose products to the Apple Online Store follows our confirmation this morning that Bose speakers will be returning to Apple retail stores following their removal from physical shelves earlier this year. It is unknown why Apple removed Bose products from its online and brick-and-mortar retail stores in the first place, although an NFL ban on wearing Beats and recent patent lawsuit between Beats-Bose are possible contributing factors.

It should be noted that Bose over ear headphones are not back at the Apple Store yet which is conspicuous because that’s Beats bread and butter business and also the area where the NFL ban also hurts Apple the most.

How does the NFL contract with Bose affect Apple?
It probably doesn’t. It’s probably just childish revenge, ala Steve Jobs.
