Apple accessory maker Twelve South has debuted an updated version of its popular BookBook iPhone case for the latest models of the iconic smartphone. The new BookBook for iPhone 6 (and iPhone 6 Plus) is available now from the company’s website.
The BookBook combines a protective smartphone cover with a hand-distressed leather wallet for storing your cash, credit cards, and IDs, and puts it all inside a case designed to look like a book.
The iPhone 6/Plus version of the BookBook includes a shell case for the phone that fits inside the leather cover. This enables you to protect the phone even when you decided to forego the entire wallet. The full case also flips out into a kickstand for hands-free FaceTime calls.
The BookBook for iPhone 6 is available from the Twelve South web store in two colors (black and brown). Both will cost you $59.99.

I really want one, but I’ve talked to a lot of owners of BookBook products and every single one says NOT to get one. One guy told me he was on his 3rd one, the others replaced under warrantee. Great looking product, but terrible longevity.
If it’s anything like the Surface Pad that they make, then I’m not surprised as the longevity it’s simply not there. Mine fell apart completely in 30 days.
My wife had one for her iPhone 5 and it lasted the entire 2 year contract of the phone
I used to work at a contract manufacturing company and found the Chinese factory that makes these. Cost is $3-4. Let the consumer raping continue.
A lot of their products have equally-made counterparts sold on Chinese websites like DX. The only thing missing is their branding. That being said, I’m always on the lookout for good wallet cases, but for some reason, these manufacturers INSIST on leaving the entire tops and bottoms of the iPhone exposed for some reason, which makes it a no-go for me.

Bought Bookbook case from Twelve South for my iPhone 5S and kept it for a year – sure, it looks aged but that is the whole point of having a case that is already ‘aged’ and then you use it in real life that it looks more aged. I sometimes wonder how people treat their property given that people almost consistently complain about things falling to pieces yet I have the same product and own it for almost twice as long and not a single problem. At some point you have to wonder whether there are people who are just too rough with their stuff – that maybe treating their property like crap isn’t going to promote the longevity of said property.
Finally! I’ve had one for my 4S and for my 5. The 4S was inconvenient because of the lack of back camera support; but the case for the 5 was fantastic! I hate carrying around a wallet, keys and phone. That’s just too much for two pockets. I’m very happy for this!
BookBook used to be unique back in the iPhone 4 days, but now so many Chinese vendors have caught up and some of their products offered is really of great quality. I wanted a BookBook, but didn’t like the straps for the iPhone 4 so waited. Now I’d “like” to have one for my iPhone 6+ but the uniqueness and quality dosen’t seem to justify the steep price (in EU it costs $98 – not the USA price of $59.99) compared to other iPhone covers that can be had for as little as $2.33 (from eBay China – and free worldwide delivery)
I understand its not quite the same, but is on par with quality and a price difference of over $95?

This is a great item for women or men who carry a purse. This is so huge, in their promo video on their site, there isn’t one shot of a person having it in their pocket…because it won’t fit.
To be honest, I was waiting for them to come out with one but they took too long and went with the Pad and Quill offer – to be honest I’m finding the Pad and Quill one a lot more robust than the Bookbook I had for my iPhone 5S. That isn’t to say that there is anything wrong with it but it just feels (a pretty subjective term I understand) more substantial, that if you did drop your phone that it would do a lot better at protecting ones phone.
How convenient! You can lose or have stolen everything at once. All that’s missing is a attachment for your keys. What a time saver!

I’d love to find a cover that works like a wallet but don’t really want a fake book thing.
I tried to wait for this for my 6 but the wait was too long. I went with a Sena Heritage Wallet case instead. I’m glad I did. It has a smaller form and feels better. I liked the BookBook on my 4s and 5, but I think with the 6 that form factor for a case is just too big. I used a cheap $10 knock off for a couple of months that looked almost exactly like a BookBook but was never happy with the size. The Sena fits in my pocket and holds my few remaining cards. I’m glad the BookBook took so long now cause the Sena is better for me.
I don’t know what everyone’s problem is. Unless you have used it yourself there is no point in bashing it here. If you complain about these cases falling apart, you need to re-evaluate the way you treat your property. It isn’t an Otterbox Defender. Don’t treat it like one. TwelveSouth makes some of the highest quality products out there. I had a BookBook for my iPhone 5 and loved it. I’ve already ordered one for my 6. They took their time with this new BookBook and it looks fantastic.
