Following the last updated aerial shot of its under construction “Campus 2” earlier this month, Apple today shared a new shot that shows significant progress being made on the main structure and surrounding campus. As always, Apple shared the shot through the City of Cupertino’s webpage that provides traffic alerts and project updates for locals.
Early this month we shared the latest drone flyover video of Campus 2 (in 4K!), but today’s shot shows even more progress made on the site over the last few weeks.
Once complete, Apple’s new campus is expected to hold around 12,000 of its employees over the 176-acre area in Cupertino not far from its current headquarters. CEO Tim Cook said in a recent interview during Climate Week in September that he thinks Campus 2 will be the “greenest building on the planet.”
According to Apple’s project schedule (below), the company officially kicked off demolition on the project in Q4 2013 and planned to wrap up demo and street utilities work as of this month. It will continue with building construction and additional earthwork into this year and next:

Not just for locals, actually. I’m receiving emails from the City with my email address, while being across the other side of the pond.
There’s a lot of domestic housing all around the site – now one wonders what vehicle traffic into the immediate area this site will generate when in use ? I’m surprised how “tight” the site area looks.
