Very disappointed that Discover Card is still not on the list. I’m not placing blame but it seriously inhibits the utility of Apple Pay for me.

  2. Still no Keesler Federal Credit Union….keeps saying “Coming Soon” :(

    • Zac Hall - 9 years ago

Yep, Keesler is on Visa’s list of banks signed up to roll out support soon. Just a matter of time.

  3. Ry L - 9 years ago

Well cool, all my (2) cards are now supported.

  4. Aaron McFarland - 9 years ago

It is great all these banks are using Apple pay, but could we get some more retailers using it?

Apple should have a special display for Apple Maps that shows pins POIs for merchants accepting Apple Pay …

      • PMZanetti - 9 years ago

Should be a standard everyday feature.

Download MasterCard’s PayPass app. It shows all NFC locations.

Can’t wait for this system to launch up in Canada! Will start using it when I get my 6S in the fall!

Only through this on-going listing/adding of new banks have I become aware of how many different banks there are in Amerca. Seems very confusing.

Still waiting for Simple to be added to the list

    • Zac Hall - 9 years ago

Yeah, this is Simple’s current statement on Apple Pay support: “Only a handful of large banks got advance notice from Apple, but we’re working hard to make up for lost time!”

      • Julian Velasquez - 9 years ago

I have pushed them for more and more information but they have struggled to live up to their innovative image time and time again as of late. I’m thinking of opening an account with Chase again… But I have been using Simple’s goals feature quite heavily to manage savings so idk…

The whole “advance notice” excuse is pretty much BS at this point. It was announced back in September. The latest I reveived as of 1/19 was “We weren’t one of the initial banks that Apple reached out to, so didn’t even have the option at first. Since then, we’ve been developing and testing an entirely new onboarding procedure. Given the nature of technical testing, this (Apple Pay) hasn’t been just a button push to get going. We are still interested in bringing Apple Pay to our customers and we hope to explore that avenue soon.”

Seems to me like Apple Pay isn’t their focus and, instead, they are focusing on building their user-base. If they don’t support Apple Pay by this Summer, I’m going to close my account. I joined Simple to keep up, not to fall behind.

    • I’m tired of being disappointed by Simple over and over. Nearly ready to drop the bank.

Sure would be nice to see Ally on here – especially since there sales line is no branches means less overhead

    • Zac Hall - 9 years ago

Yeah seems like a great fit, this is Ally’s current statement when asked about plans to support Apple Pay: “We’re not participating in Apple Pay at this time, but will continue to evaluate the situation and update you if our plans change.”

    • hungarianhc - 9 years ago

+1 ~ I’m an Ally customer. Would really like this.

What is ridiculous is the fact that while Macy’s was one of the initial retailers to officially support Apple Pay; you can not use your Macy’s Credit Card with Apple Pay. (I called their customer service line after I was unable to add my card. I was told that they were still working on it and did not know when their card would be supported on Apple Pay). So you can use Apple Pay at Macy’s; as long as you don’t want to use your Macy’s Card.

    • Jassi Sikand - 9 years ago

It’s probably a backend issue. A number of store-issued credit cards are having issues, presumably since a lot of them don’t actually have expiration dates, which is a requirement for Apple Pay (see: Amazon.com Visa Credit Card)

  10. Taste_of_Apple - 9 years ago

Some solid additions. I was thrilled to see TD bank added support recently. Now let’s hope Discover moves quickly to add it as well.

  11. Julian Velasquez - 9 years ago

I’m more annoyed to not see Simple/Bancorp Bank on this list… For a bank that claims to be innovative and make the user experience Simple, I’d have expected them on the list of at least ones coming soon.

  12. Paul Horne - 9 years ago

How about stop adding banks and start adding some stores where we could actually use Apple pay? Walgreens, Subway, and McDonald’s? Really?

  13. Call me when they add my grocery stores and places i shop. Ralphs, Safeway, Trader Joes, Target, etc. Until then this is pointless.

    BECU Added today 2/3/15
