Apple shares Earth Day 2015 collection with content to help improve the planet

After sharing its latest Environmental Responsibility report this morning, Apple this evening has added a new Earth Day 2015 section to the App Store. The section highlights content that contribute to environmental awareness, as well as apps that promote green living and going paperless.

Further, Apple’s Earth Day 2015 section aggregates books, movies, iTunes U content, podcasts, and TV shows that relate to the Earth. Selections include the TV show “Planet Earth,” the movie “March of the Penguins,” the book “Environmental Debt,” the apps Evernote Scannable and Green Living, and various National Geographic magazines.

Apple writes that its goals as a company go beyond just making the best products in the world and extend to making the best products for the world:

Our commitment to the environment starts from the ground up. We strive to change things for the better and create not only the best products in the world, but the best products for the world. Learn about how to improve the world around you with our Earth Day collections.

Apple’s Earth Day 2015 App Store collection is available now. Earth Day officially is Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015.
