Ford launches Apple Watch app to find & control your car, but only for three models so far

Ford has updated its MyFord Mobile iPhone app to add Apple Watch support for its three electric and hybrid cars. The Watch app allows you to get walking directions back to your car, check battery status and range, lock and unlock the car, start it remotely and check a range of stats …

The iPhone app also allows you to find charging stations and program a cabin temperature timer.

Both apps only work with the C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi Plug-in Hybrids, and those Focus Electric models with on-board LTE modems.

MyFord Mobile is a free download from iTunes. The company announced back in April that its in-car dash systems would be platform-agnostic, supporting CarPlay, Android Auto and its own SYNC systems.

They need to hire some real artists, their icons and visuals are really flat and boring. Basically mediocrity

Volvo Launched a Apple watch app last month, does all this and is available for all models with their OnCall system right back to 2011!
