    Nothing for Apple TV?

Unfortunately Apple continue to screw over users in Australia, e.g. Awesome Note 2 is $4.49, Affinity Photo is $62.99

    • baussie - 8 years ago

      $40 / 0.717 + 10% GST = 61.37 AUD.

Oh yeah, huge difference compared to 62.99 AUD you mentioned.

Yes, there are many cases when Apple is screwing over its customers, but not in this case.

You’d think by now people here in Australia would be clued into the fact our dollar has massively collapsed against the USD.

    • Developers set prices for their apps and games ;)

For anyone looking for a media streamer and app combination, look no further than AirPlayer by Olimsoft for iOS and TvOS, as well as Mac and Windows Platforms.

Previously, I was using this app on my iPad along with a program on my PC called PS3 Media Server to stream videos from my PC to my iPad. Disregard the PS3 portion of the name media server, because it actually streams to just about any streaming client that you could have.

Nevertheless, when I installed AirPlayer by Olimsoft on my Apple TV, I was delighted to find that AirPlayer by Olimsoft has a corresponding app for the PC and for the Mac that is a media streamer dedicated to work with AirPlayer by Olimsoft on the AppleTV, as well as the iPad. I believe that AirPlayer by Olimsoft only costs around $5 dollars. It’s money well spent, however, because it allows you to stream videos from your Mac or PC to iOS devices including Apple TV and iPad.

I hope that this is helpful to anyone looking to stream video content from your PC or Mac to your Apple TV, or iPad. Should you have any questions, please reply to this message as I will be following up on all comments.

Happy Holidays to You and Yours and Best Wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
