Multiple complaints of failed searches in Apple Music in iOS app

If searching for Apple Music content in the iOS Music app isn’t working for you, it’s not just you. Multiple users on Apple’s support forum are reporting the issue, with Twitter users joining the complaints. The problem appears to have begun late last night.

It’s not a universal issue, as it’s working fine for some people. Apple hasn’t yet acknowledged any problem on its system status page, but it’s not unusual for issues to exist for some time before showing up there.

Reboots aren’t curing it, so if you’re experiencing the problem there doesn’t appear anything you can do about it except wait for Apple to solve the problem, or switch to iTunes on the Mac where searches are working normally.

Some users are already unhappy with Apple’s decision to take its free ad-supported iTunes Radio stations off the air on Friday.

I suffer because of this issue since the launch of Apple Music. Closing the App helps for me.

  2. Oh thank goodness. I thought it was just me lol. I hope they fix all of these interruptions and unstable things in Apple Music in iOS 9.3 or 10.

  3. I had issues with the Apple Music app not working on my Apple TV last night. but it resolved itself after about 15-30 minutes.

It took a restore to a previous cloud backup to fix this issue.

Been over a day now I have had this issue. Bloody annoying.

  7. What’s the point for Apple to make a “system status page” when all it does it display everything is working fine!

I think that page isn’t maintained by their Support Dept., but their Marketing Dept.

I finally departed to Spotify today. First, they got rid of the ability to customize stations. Then they tried to change the Music app. I tried to get used to it. I really did. Never took. Then today I tried using their artist radio feature and suddenly asked myself: “Why am I paying for this?” My answer had always been so I could have all my music in one app. Today, I stopped caring.
