In a blog post announcing their launch of an embeddable web and native app VR viewer, Google also introduced the official launch of their Cardboard SDK for iOS. The SDK allows iOS developers to embed virtual reality content within their own apps to then be viewed using a viewer like Google’s own Cardboard.
This official Cardboard SDK launch on iOS helps to re-affirm Google’s drive to bring VR to all platforms. Releasing it as a Podfile helps ensure developers will always be using the latest up-to-date code. The Cardboard SDK includes a variety of tools to help with building out virtual reality software, including 3D calibration, head tracking, and spatial audio.

The Google Cardboard SDK is available today for Android and iOS. VR View, the web embeddable VR viewer, has its code available as a download through Google's Github page.
