Crowdfunding Roundup: smart clothing, collapsable universal cable, & more

Crowdfunding campaigns from sites like Kickstart and Indiegogo are great ways to support cool projects, but it can be difficult sometimes find the gems at times. Rather than make you sift through all of these projects, we’re tracking down the best or most notable crowdfunding projects from around the web and delivering them to you in a simple roundup. If there’s a project that you’ve backed – or even a project that you founded – be sure to leave a link below so it can be considered for the next roundup.

Enflux Exercise Clothing (Kickstarter project) – I love tracking my exercise, and this takes fitness trackers (bracelets) up a notch. It is a compression shirt and pants with 10 motion sensors in it that is able to monitor your exercise with 2 week battery life and best of all is machine washable. It measures and tracks your efficiency, work capacity, joint angles, range of motion, balance, O2 saturation and heart rate. With the app you are able to gauge your workout by giving you real-time audio feedback about your tempo, speed, power and form.

Connex – Collapsable Universal Cable (Kickstarter Project) – This cable is made out of silicone, which makes it elastic so it can stretch and flex into shape. When done it collapses to the size of a credit card. Designed to eliminate chunky thick cords that get tangled and frayed.

PocoCam – Pocket Camera (Indiegogo) – This tiny, compact body camera is so discreet that it looks like a pen when sticking it in a pocket of a collared shirt. It records in HD 720P, supports micro SD cards, requires no cables and has a 5-6 hour battery life. To charge or transfer the video to your computer, uncap the bottom and plug the USB into the USB port.

iHeart Pillow (Kickstarter) – When my boyfriend goes away for training for work, I do miss cuddling with him and hearing and feeling the sound of his heartbeat. With Apple Watches, we can send our heart beats to each other, but this pillow brings it to the next level. The pillow can receive his heart beat while he’s away, so that way while I’m not physically with him, this will be the next closest thing to feeling close.
