Earlier this month, Apple announced that it would make the premium Hermès bands for Apple Watch available as a standalone purchase and today it has done just that. Now, Apple Watch customers can purchase a Hermès band for their Apple Watch separately via Apple’s online store.
Previously, the only way to obtain a Hermès band was to buy it paired with the Apple Watch itself. The Single Tour, Double Tour, and Cuff Hermès bands paired with an Apple Watch go for upwards of $1,100. Now, the Hermès Single Tour band is available for $340 by itself in sapphire blue, deer brown, fire orange and black for 38mm and 42mm customers. 38mm users have the added choice of peacock blue and white, as well.
The Hermès Double Tour band is available solely in the 38mm variety and comes in at $490. The Double Tour is available in regular and long strap variants. The regular length option comes in white, peacock, sapphire blue, tin gray, fire orange, and deer brown color choices, while the long strap band is available only in deer brown.
Rounding out the Hermès Apple Watch band lineup is the Cuff option, which is available only in a 42mm size and in deer brown. The Cuff band will run interested customers $690.
Last month, Apple refreshed the Apple Watch models with a variety of new bands and colors, including a new set of nylon bands and a Space Black Milanese Loop. At first, the Hermès collection was available only in limited retail locations, but Apple expanded it to its online store earlier this year.
If you’re not looking to spend a hefty amount of money to get your hands on an official Hermès band, a variety of options are available from third-parties on Amazon.

This is a product released by one of the best design teams in the world (Apple) with one of the most respectable luxury fashion brands in the world (Hermès). I *think* they know a thing or two about not making the “ugliest” bands.
yeah these things are fascinatingly ugly and obscenely overpriced. but i guess our poor brains just don’t operate on the same high plains that those fashionable people with more disposable income do. only then will we understand how beautiful these bands are.
Is it really necessary to OVERPRICE these bands so much that the lower cost band almost costs as much as the sport model Apple Watch? SMH…
What’s overpriced is the mass-produced classic leather and leather loop bands that Apple wants $149 for. The Hermes bands are hand-sewn and made from much higher quality leather.
I still find it interesting that Apple and Hermes didn’t price this $150 higher to keep it a bit more exclusive. Right now buying the Hermes is $211 more than buying the Apple Watch and Hermes band separately. Granted, the Hermes gets the watch face, extra year of warranty, and engraving, but it’s still an odd pricing decision.

I bought an Alpinestars leather jacket for my motorcycle just last week for much less than this and I’b bet the quality of my leather is way better than this.

Hermes is the company that made a $50,000 Leica and a million dollar interior package for the Bugatti Veryon. Their handbags generally start at $10,000, can get into the low six figures and (allegedly) have a waiting list to get on the waiting list. Every watch they sell costs more than the Apple watch Hermes, and they only tell time. I really don’t understand bitching about these prices.
Notice how all the stitching is at a slight angle? It’s because its all hand sewn with two needles the same way Hermes fabricated the saddles for French Royalty.
