Astropad 2 turns your iPad into a Mac drawing tablet w/ new software features & a fresh look

Astropad is a clever app that lets you use your iPad as a drawing surface for Mac software like Photoshop. Today Astropad 2.0 is available as a free update for current customers and includes new improvements, better software compatibility, and a new look.

Astropad’s developers highlight seven improvements to expect in the new version:

New Velocity control: Analyzes network conditions dozens of times per second to balance image quality and latency

Enhanced software compatibility: Supports panning and zooming gestures across more programs, including: Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, Art Rage, Clip Studio Paint, Lightroom, Mischief, Autodesk Sketchbook 

Hidden cursor: Settings option to auto-hide the cursor while drawing 

Updated UI: Sleek new look and feel
