Apple rolling out macOS 10.12.2 beta 6 for developers

Apple is rolling out macOS 10.12.2 beta 6 for Mac — the second release in three days. The new update follows the initial macOS 10.12.2 beta at the end of October and multiple additional builds since. Today’s build is available on the developer center and will likely hit the Mac App Store soon [update: OTA available now].

macOS 10.12.2 includes Unicode 9.0 emoji support, which matches compatibility in beta versions of iOS 10.2 and watchOS 3.1.1.

macOS 10.12.2 will be released to everyone in the future (expected this month), and the beta allows developers to test pre-release versions of the software update before it’s released.

macOS 10.12.2 follows the major release of macOS Sierra in September. Sierra includes new features like Siri on the Mac for the first time, Apple Pay on the web, picture-in-picture video playback, and much more.

We’ll update if any new changes are discovered in macOS 10.12.2.
