Tips and tricks for iCloud email

iCloud offers a lot of convenience, and if you have an icloud.com or me.com email address you can use one account for access to your device backups, photos and videos, purchases, email, and more. Follow along for some basic tips and tricks for iCloud Mail, where to login with your iCloud account, and more.

iCloud Mail Login

You might have your iCloud Mail set up on your iPhone, iPad or other Apple device, but where can you access your email if you don’t have your device nearby?

Head to icloud.com and log in with your iCloud or me.com account. Once logged in you’ll have access to your email and a whole lot more.

You’ll only have email here if you have an icloud.com or me.com email as your primary Apple ID or added as an alias to your Apple ID that has a primary email address that is not an Apple domain.

Anything that you’ve saved to iCloud from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the above apps will be accessible via the iCloud website.

To navigate between apps, click on the app name like Mail in the upper left corner. As seen below you can choose another app or go back to the Launchpad.

When you’re all done, click your name in the top right hand corner for the option to logout. For more details and help with your Apple email, check out this Apple support page.

How to change your iCloud email

There’s no way to change or remove an icloud.com or me.com email, but you can add an alias email to your account and choose to use just the new one.

Log in with your Apple ID/iCloud account at appleid.apple.com. Once in, click on Edit to the right of main Account heading.

If you created your Apple ID with a me.com you can also use icloud.com interchangeably for the same account. Next click Add More…

At this point you can enter any non-Apple email address that is not already associated with another Apple ID. Alternately, you can choose to add a phone number that can be used for iMessage, FaceTime, and more.

If your primary Apple ID was created with say a Gmail or another non-Apple email, you can change the primary email address using the above steps instead of creating an alias email for your account. Just look for Change Apple ID… underneath your primary email after clicking Edit.
