Nomad introduces new versatile Wireless Travel Stand for iPhone 8 & iPhone X

Popular accessory maker Nomad has unveiled its latest product for iPhone users. This week, the company has taken the wraps off of the Wireless Travel Stand, which it says is the perfect Qi-enabled wireless charging stand for the traveling iPhone 8 and iPhone X user…

The stand is made with premium Norween leather and features a rubber base, ensuring it stays put on your desk, nightstand, or other surface. The “travel” aspect of the stand comes into the equation because you can collapse it down for easy portability.

As you can see in the below image, the Wireless Travel Stand can be used to charge your device either flat or propped up. Essentially, the bottom stand portion of the dock collapses into the back for easy storage during travel. Then, when you arrive at your destination, you can switch back to stand mode.

With Face ID on the iPhone X, having a wireless charging stand that sits upright is incredibly useful as Face ID can authenticate you from the charging angle. This makes for much better experience than the charging pads that require you to life your device up to face level to unlock.

Here’s how Nomad describes its new travel wireless charing stand:

The Wireless Travel Stand is wrapped with premium Horween leather for a rugged but refined look. The rubber base makes it extra stable so your charger will stay put.

The charger stands upright and packs flat for easy travel—simply stow the durable aluminum kickstand. Optimized for iPhone X and 8 with a 7.5W charge output. The pad offers a stylish and functional desk or bedside home for your iPhone X/8.

Furthermore, the stand is capable of fast-charging with 7.5W output.

One downside here, however, is that the stand uses a proprietary wall plug, rather than USB-C, Lightning, or even microUSB. This means you’ll have another cable to carry around while you travel, which is the last thing any of us need in the modern day age of technology.

Nomad’s Wireless Travel Stand is available in a gorgeous Slate Gray for $59.95.
