Halide Camera updated with new ‘Smart RAW’ feature for iPhone XS, more

Halide, the popular camera app for iOS, has been updated this week to version 1.10. The update includes a handful of new features to Halide for iOS, including a new Smart RAW capability for iPhone XS, optimization for Apple Watch Series 4, and more.

First off, Halide has added a new Smart RAW feature for the iPhone XS. With this feature, Halide says it has enabled new automatic logic for exposing and getting the best RAW images from the iPhone XS.

In Halide 1.10, we’re launching a new feature called Smart RAW for iPhone XS. After extensively testing the new iPhone in the field in the last few weeks, we’ve built a new automatic logic for exposing and getting the best RAW shots out of the iPhone XS, enabling more detail than ever out of any iPhone camera.

The update also makes it easier to compare the differences between JPEG images and RAW images. Further, Halide has updated its Apple Watch application with optimization for the larger screen on Apple Watch Series 4.

Here’s the full change log for this weekend’s update to Halide for iOS:
