After several hours of downtime, the Apple Online Store is back online and the iPhone XR is now available for pre-order. Pricing starts at $749 and the device is available in a total of six different colors. Head below for all the iPhone XR specs, details, and more.
iPhone XR Specs
The iPhone XR, in many ways, is a lot like the iPhone XS: there’s Face ID, the same A12 Bionic chip, and a similar body design.
One of the biggest differences, however, is the display. The iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch LCD ‘Liquid Retina’ display with a resolution of 1792×828, equating to 326 pixels-per-inch. This compares to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, which both feature OLED displays with 458 pixels-per-inch.
Another major difference is that the iPhone XR features a single, 12MP camera on the back as opposed to the two-lens system found on the iPhone XS. Apple says, however, that the iPhone XR is capable of features like Portrait Mode and Smart HDR.
The iPhone XS is also lacking 3D Touch, but there’s a new Haptic Touch feature which simulates the 3D Touch functionality.
Other iPhone XR specs include a 7MP front camera, IP67 water resistant rating, Face ID support, a weight of 194 grams, and 4K video support.

iPhone XR Colors
Perhaps most notable for some people is the new color palette of the iPhone XR. The device is available in white, black, blue, coral, yellow, and PRODUCT(RED). This is the first time Apple has launched a PRODUCT(RED) iPhone in the fall, and the most extensive iPhone color lineup we’ve seen since the iPhone 5C.
