UPDATE: Apple has pulled the initial macOS 10.14.2 beta. At this point in time, it’s unclear as to why it has been pulled.
UPDATE 2: iOS 12.1.1 and tvOS 12.1.1 is now available to public beta testers.
UPDATE 3: macOS 10.14.2 beta 1 is now available to both developers and public beta testers.
Hot off the heels of the public releases for iOS 12.1, tvOS 12.1, and macOS 10.14.1, Apple is today pushing out its first beta for iOS 12.1.1, tvOS 12.1.1, and macOS 10.14.2 for developers.
These releases will likely be minor and will be fixing bugs with the initial X.1 releases of all these operating systems. iOS 12.1 and macOS 10.14.1, brought support for new emojis and Group FaceTime.
Unfortunately, as we learned yesterday, watchOS is notably missing from the bunch, as Apple is working to resolve an issue regarding the update bricking a small number of Apple Watches. We’re expecting an update on that relatively soon.
For iOS 12.1.1, Apple has refined the FaceTime app with an improved camera switching UI, and brings back the ability to take Live Photos as well as updated the Apple Watch app icon to look more like Apple Watch Series 4.
