Sonnet launches new eGPU docks with support for Pro Display XDR, more

Sonnet, a leader in external Thunderbolt 3 devices, just announced the launch of its new eGPU Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 5500XT and eGPU Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 5700. Both of these devices are replacing the previous-generation RX 560 and RX 570 eGPUs, though this still isn’t the latest-and-greatest AMD has to offer. However, one new feature that these models tout is compatibility with Apple’s Pro Display XDR and other 6K monitors.

american express blue cash preferred cash back credit card

Here’s how to use Apple Pay with Amex to get a $10 statement credit

American Express via Amex Offers is currently giving customers a promo that gives $10 back after using Apple Pay three times. Redeeming this promo is quite simple, first, you’ll have to have an American Express. We love these cards and have featured them a few times in our credit card guide, specifically the Blue Cash and Blue Cash Preferred. After you get an Amex (or if you already have one), head on over to Amex Offers and check for the Apple Pay promotion. It’ll look like this on the Amex Offers page. Note: You may or may not see the offer available on your account. One of my Amex cards had it in the normal 100 offers, the other I went through 50+ offers to pull in fresh ones and still never saw it, so do keep that in mind. Once activated, just use Apple Pay three times with your Amex, either in-store or online, and you’ll receive a $10 credit on your billing statement within 90-days.

Hot Wheels id Apple App

Hot Wheels id brings iconic toy into 21st century, exclusive to Apple Stores

Update 8/21 @ 1:16 PM: Hot Wheels id is now available at Amazon!

Hot Wheels is likely a toy that you either played with as a kid or still have many of now. I still have quite the collection hidden somewhere in the attic, but enough about me. For the longest time, Hot Wheels have stayed just cars on a track (or in the air). Pieces of metal on wheels, nothing more, nothing less. Now, with Hot Wheels id, the iconic toy is entering the 21st century. Hot Wheels id is a new system that brings together both physical and digital play and is available exclusively from Apple.

top 5 USB-C fast chargers for iPad Pro

Top 5 third-party USB-C Power Delivery chargers for your new 36W iPad Pro from $15

It’s 2018, and Apple has finally joined the USB-C train. The latest iPad Pro (our review) started to hit store shelves and customer hands yesterday, and I picked my iPad up today. Apple does include an 18W USB-C fast charger in the box, thankfully. Now you now have a large range of options thanks to Apple moving to a new standard. For most people, 18W is plenty for charging. If you have the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro and are using power-intensive applications, you might want some extra juice. These are our top 5 USB-C fast chargers for iPad Pro.

Hands-on: Logitech’s MX Vertical changed the way I look at mice

When I first saw the announcement for the MX Vertical from Logitech, I was intrigued. I had seen vertical mice like this from other companies on Amazon before but was never quite sure if they “really” worked.

I came from the MX Master 2S (and MX Master before that, with a few MX Anywhere mice thrown in as well.) In my mind, nothing could be as good ergonomically as the MX Master. It felt better than other mice and had tons of features. My views were completely changed after using the MX Vertical for just over a week.

The Vinpok Taptek might finally be a worthy wireless mechanical keyboard for Mac users

When one thinks of a mechanical keyboard, you might remember the old bulky off-white models that you had in the classroom years ago. Or, if you’re a bit more up-to-date, you might think of the flashy RGB-style gamer-designed versions that are flooding the market as of late.

One thing that generally doesn’t come to mind is a Mac-style keyboard, especially with the way Apple has treated the keys of its latest flagship MacBook Pro with barely any travel at all. In comes the Vinpok Taptek, though an odd name, the keyboard itself looks fantastic with Cherry-style switches and the ability to be used both wired or wirelessly.
