Watch: Beats launches a celebrity-driven ‘#SoloSelfie’ campaign to promote its Wireless Solo2’s

Beats wants the #SoloSelfie to be a thing. To make that happen, the Apple-owned headphones maker has launched a new campaign loaded with the usual celebrity endorsers wearing the new Solo2 Wireless Beats while performing what it dubs the Solo Selfie. There’s even a tutorial featuring Kenan Thompson to show you how to film yourself from one side of your Beats to the other side using your iPhone.

Learn how to do the #SoloSelfie in three easy steps.

1 – Turn your phone on camera mode, face the phone out

2 – Start at one “B” and go all the way around your head to the other “B”, don’t forget to hit that selfie face in the middle.

3 – Upload to your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter account with #SoloSelfie & #BeatsByDre

If you want to get crazy – turn it on in slo-mo.

Finally, Beats has shared an extended version of the tutorial video with a more behind-the-scenes approach.

Now the only thing left to do is follow #SoloSelfie and see if this thing takes off or if you have to be a paid celebrity to actually do this. Think this is out of the ordinary for Apple? It’s not the first time Apple has embraced the selfie.
