Belkin has announced that it is issuing a voluntary recall for the “Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition” that was sold in Apple retail stores and online. As first reported by the Verge, the Belkin wireless charger is being recalled because of fire and shock safety hazards.

At CES this week, Belkin has announced its second MagSafe charger. This one is a dual-wireless charger for iPhone 12 and AirPods and comes with a more affordable price tag compared to the Belkin Boost Up Charge Pro that recently debuted.

Belkin’s Boost Charge Pro with MagSafe and Apple’s MagSafe Duo chargers take very different approaches to solve a similar problem. In a world where everything has to be recharged, combination chargers that can reduce cables and plugs in our life are really practical. While Apple’s first-party combo charger is described best as a minimalistic travel charger, Belkin aces utility in what may be the best MagSafe combo charger.

Belkin has announced two new chargers today, the Boost Up Charge TrueFreedom Pro Wireless Charger and the Boost Up Charge UV Sanitizer with Wireless Charger. First, let’s look at the wireless charger without built-in UV sanitation.

Belkin announced its new SoundForm Elite Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger powered by Devialet back at CES and now it’s available to purchase. The company has also launched two new multi-device wireless chargers for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Belkin continues to bring HomeKit support to its smart home accessories, and the Wemo WiFi Smart Dimmer is the latest to join the club. Wemo HomeKit support is retroactively being added through a free software update starting today.
