Wemo is out with its latest smart home device today. The Wemo Smart Dimmer with Thread is HomeKit-only and offers the convenience of flicker-free technology and working with both neutral and no-neutral wiring for new and old homes alike. The dimmer even includes NFC support for a super smooth setup.

An upcoming Belkin HomeKit remote control to be known as the Wemo Stage has been discovered through FCC documents. Like the Philips Hue dimmer, there are several buttons that can be used to activate different devices and scenes, and it can either be used as a mobile remote or attached to a wall-plate.

Belkin is out with several notable announcements at CES 2020 this evening across its Belkin, Linksys, and Wemo brands. There’s a new Wemo smart plug with HomeKit support, a wide array of new Belkin charging accessories, and more. Read on for all of the details.
Belkin continues to bring HomeKit support to its smart home accessories, and the Wemo WiFi Smart Dimmer is the latest to join the club. Wemo HomeKit support is retroactively being added through a free software update starting today. Wemo was first to use a new software authentication method for certifying HomeKit devices with its Mini Smart Plug earlier this year.
Belkin was remarkably late to the HomeKit scene with their Wemo line of smart home accessories, but the company finally remedied that in January with a dedicated $40 bridge. Now Belkin is going one step further and making its $35 Wemo Mini Smart Plug work with HomeKit without requiring a bridge.
This week’s 9to5Rewards partner is Belkin, makers of accessories for iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch and other mobile devices, and the company behind the popular Wemo smart home product line.
Belkin has its brand new Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer — a Best of CES winner from 9to5Toys — to give away to 9to5Mac readers this week.
Back in March 2016, users of Belkin’s popular line of Wemo connected accessories were disappointed to learn that the company was canceling its previously announced plans to support Apple’s HomeKit platform. The company has now changed its tune, however, and today told me it’s committed to bringing HomeKit to Wemo and will have “more details soon.”
Belkin’s “Wemo” lineup of app-controlled smart home accessories is getting support for the Works with Nest program, which means you can now interface the smart thermostat with Belkin’s Wemo products in various ways.

Belkin’s three latest products in its Wemo line of Wi-Fi connected, smartphone-controlled products for the home include a white bulb starter kit, a versatile strip light, and garden lights for outdoor use. The last two are both tunable to thousands of colors and all three connect to Belkin’s Wemo ecosystem and companion app for remote control from your iPhone. All three of the products are through a partnership with OSRAM SYLVANIA, who provided the lightning products that Belkin has integrated into its Wemo platform.
