Apple Store visuals revamped with inspiration from recent TV campaigns

IFO Apple Store reports that Apple is revamping its back-lit in-store photo panels, replacing its signature white-background product shots with visuals inspired by its recent advertising. Out are clean, sterile close-ups of the products, and in are colorful visuals showing what people are doing with the products.

The new graphics were photographed like magazine ads, showing the iPad/iPhone being used in actual situations, complete with their surrounding people and places. Their colors, tone and brightness is much richer and darker than the previous graphics …

Apple takes concussions head-on with latest addition to ‘Your Verse’ campaign

Apple has updated its ‘Your Verse’ campaign web page with new stories of athletic teams using the iPad to help detect concussions in players, potentially helping save lives. Because concussions can’t be detected by medical equipment, players who suffer head injuries need to take cognition tests that measure their pre- and post-injury abilities to determine whether they’ve suffered a concussion.

Using an iPad app created by C3 Logix, medical staff can quickly test players for symptoms in a variety of areas, such as visual acuity and balance, and determine the severity of the concussion. For example, doctors can use the iPad’s accelerometer and gyroscope to help test a player’s balance:

Apple takes Your Verse iPad campaign to new heights with mountaineering feature

Apple’s Your Verse advertising and marketing campaign for the iPad, depicting some of the inspiring ways in which people are using iPads to help with everything from ice hockey coaching to concussion treatment, has been expanded to include mountaineering.

Elevating the expedition is a new addition to the Your Verse microsite illustrating the ways in which mountaineers Adrian Ballinger and Emily Harrington use iPads to assist them with preparing for a climb, navigating the route and live-blogging their experiences and photographs …

Apple releases shortened “Light Verse” and “Sound Verse” TV advertisements

Last week, Apple released its popular “Your Verse” ad, featuring beautiful imagery of the iPad Air used in a wide variety of different scenarios, accompanied by a voiceover from the film Dead Poet’s Society. Today, just in time for the Super Bowl, Apple uploaded two variations of that ad, “Light Verse” and “Sound Verse”,  both shortened versions of the original.
