New MacBook Pros with Touch Bar slip in shipping time to 3-4 weeks (U: 13-inch now 4-5 weeks)

Update: Shipping times for the 13-inch models with Touch Bar have increased to 4-5 weeks in the US, Canada and other markets through Apple. Availability through third-party retailers may vary.

Apple’s new lineup of MacBook Pros has already started slipping in shipping times. The new models started out shipping in 2 to 3 weeks, but have now slipped into the 3 to 4 week range a few hours after going on sale.

Apple took the wraps off of its new MacBook lineup earlier today, announcing a new 13-inch MacBook Pro and new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros with a new Touch Bar in place of the function keys. The 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar, however, was available immediately and is still listed as arriving as early as Monday.

The new MacBook Pros feature a noticeable speed bump on the insider and an overall thinner design with a smaller footprint. So far, the results of our poll show that 36 percent of readers don’t plan on upgrading after seeing the product, while 27 percent plan to purchase a space gray 15-inch MacBook.

Personally, I ordered immediately after the MacBook Pros went up for sale and mine is slated to arrive between November 17th and November 25th. When is yours slated to arrive? Let us know in the comments.
