Epic Games promises fix for Fortnite’s performance & graphics issues on iOS

Fortnite has been a smash success on iOS, but recently users have complained of increasingly poor performance. In a post on Reddit, however, Epic Games has addressed the performance issues and says fix is coming soon.

Since the last update to Fortnite on iOS, players have reported lagging issues and poor graphic performance. Similar issues have also plagued the Windows and Mac versions of the games, but those have been patched.

On Reddit, an Epic Games representative acknowledged that Fortnite for iOS is in a “rough state” in terms of performance. While no specific time table was given, the representative promised that Epic is “working on getting a patch out as soon as possible.”

Fortnite for iOS was updated yesterday, but it did not fix the issues many users were having, according to the Reddit thread.

Here is the full statement:

We know that iOS performance is in a rough state, but we want to let you know that we’ve fixed the issues and are working on getting a patch out as soon as possible. We know you’re eager to get started on those High Stakes Challenges and try out the Getaway LTM. We’ll let you know as soon as we have an update for when the patch will go live.

Fortnite for iOS was originally released back in March and has since become one of the most successful iOS apps of all time. After just 90 days of availability, the app crossed $100 million in revenue purely on iOS and has since hit $1 billion across all platforms.

Fortnite is available as a free download on the App Store. Are you a Fortnite player? Let us know down in the comments!
