In an update on the developer portal today, Apple has started encouraging developers to update their apps for the new iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR. The company is also pushing Mac developers to submit their apps to the all-new App Store coming with macOS Mojave, and to the iOS App Store with iOS 12 features.
Apple says the new Mac App Store gives developers the ability to add, “insightful stories, curated collections, and videos. […] You also have more opportunities to display your content with subtitles, up to 10 screenshots, and up to three app previews per localization.”
For iOS, Apple is encouraging developers to update their apps to support the new iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR, which features the new A12 Bionic chip, allowing developers more headroom for development. The new phones also has faster Face ID, allowing users to authenticate, pay, and unlock faster than ever before.
