Hands-on: Aulumu’s unique Cyberpunk-like take on iPhone accessories

Last month, I was scrolling through X, and I came across an iPhone 15 case by the brand Aulumu. It immediately caught my eye, and I started to look into this brand a bit more. They had an extremely unique look and aesthetic. It looked like their accessories belonged in the Cyberpunk video game, but it was still minimalistic enough that I liked it. I tend to gravitate towards the ultraminimal when it comes to accessories, but Aulumu was able to add a few pieces to its designs that gave it some character without it being overwhelming. I saw they had a whole slew of iPhone accessories, so I had to pick them up and see if they lived up to my new high expectations – wow, was I surprised. Let me show you what I mean.

Aulumu iPhone cases

Let’s get right into the cases. They offer two different types of cases: their A15 vegan leather and their A15 translucent cases. The vegan leather cases are my personal favorite. They strike a fantastic balance of being protective but not too bulky; they also feel and look premium, thanks to the material choice. Most of the case is made of vegan leather, but it has some metallic accents like the “cooling vent” on the rear that just adds to the look. They also went with matte black for the buttons, including the action button and the camera lip as well. The buttons are very tactile and satisfying to click. The color choices give you this amazing stormtrooper look for the white version of the case. If you want a more stealthy look, they also offer the case in all black.

Aulumu also offers a translucent series of cases that give you the same aesthetic with a bit of a different feel. Still, a great option, especially if you want to show off the color of your new iPhone 15 Pro Max. These cases are actually a bit more rigid and stiff. This rigidity allows for even more protection for your new iPhone. They also have amazingly clickable buttons that satisfy. All of these cases are MagSafe-compatible, work with a screen protector, and have some passive cooling as well.

Aulumu MagSafe accessories

I am a sucker for a solid MagSafe accessory, whether it’s a battery bank, a wallet, or something completely different. But the key for me is that I like my MagSafe accessories to serve multiple functions, and Aulumu has really struck gold here. All of these accessories are compatible with the iPhone 12 lineup and newer!

G05 4 in 1 MagSafe Stand

I had to start with their G05 accessory first because it is the most unique MagSafe accessory I have used so far. Firstly, the look is awesome. It is this circle magnet with an arm sticking out to one side. It is made of all metal and gives you some feedback when it rotates, the magnets are absurdly strong, and it has a trick up its sleeve. The G05 has four different modes to choose from. You can use the metallic arm to stand your phone up vertically and horizontally, and you can also use it as a grip to hold your phone more securely. The amazing part is that you can easily take off the stand, but then there is a small 3mm ceramic box cutter that comes out. I am always looking for a knife when doing unboxing, and now, it’s built into this stand. The box cutter is spring loaded, so it will never just be poking out, and it’s only 3mm, so you cannot really do much damage outside of just cutting some tape or opening mail. This accessory is now a must-have for me – the perfect gift too.

G02 MagSafe Wallet Stand

The G02 wallet stand is the next accessory from Aulumu that is multifunctional. Of course, it serves its main purpose of being a wallet. It has a section rated to store three cards, but I have been able to fit four if they are not metal cards. Normally, with these vegan leather wallets, they start to stretch over time. So, with other brands, after using their wallets for a while, I have had cards just fall out if I hold the wallet upside down. Aulumu actually added a small rigid lip that almost closes in the cards, so that never happens, which is genius. It also has a little slot for you to be able to push up your cards, and on the inside, it has a window to show off an ID card if needed.

As I stated, this is a multifunctional accessory, so it also has a great hinge that allows you to use the wallet as a stand. You can view your iPhone in vertical, horizontal, and TV mode.

M03 MagSafe Battery Pack

Aulumu also offers a MagSafe battery pack solution that fits their design language perfectly. The power bank gives you an additional 3500 mAh of battery and outputs at 5W. So it is not a fast wireless charger, but if you need some extra charge on a long day, this will do the trick. It is also one of the slimmer battery banks you will come across, coming in at just 13mm in thickness and weighing 110g. They were also able to fit in a metal kickstand on here, so it does what the wallet can do: It gives you three additional stand modes and can charge your device all in one go. It also has a cool smart battery indicator in the shape of a wire, so as it drains, the wire will start to lose its indicator lights.

M01 4-in-1 Foldable MagSafe Charging Station

This charging station has to be one of the better-designed ones that I have ever used. First off, just the way it’s packaged is great. It comes in a thin, flat box, which helps reduce waste. The charger is laid flat, and once you take it out, you can leave it flat or unfold it to turn it into a stand. It follows the same aesthetic as all the other accessories we have mentioned and is more than just a charger. It includes:

  • 15W fast MagSafe Charging
  • 5W charging pad for Airpods
  • 2.5W Apple Watch charger
  • USB-C out that supports 10W charging
  • Small adjustable night light with 3 modes

You can charge all your Apple devices on this thing and have an additional port if you need to wire in a fourth device. It’s easy to bring with you because it folds completely flat, but it can also be your stationary charging hub because it props up to give you a gorgeous stand. It supports the new Standby mode on iOS 17 as well. The night light is also a cool touch! My only gripe is that I wish the Apple Watch charger were also propped up because if you use a closed-loop band like a solo loop, you have to take off one side to lay it flat to charge. For me, that’s not an issue, but I know some people might not like that.

Pricing, availability, and final thoughts

All of these accessories are available today from Aulumu’s website and arrive very quickly. The pricing is as follows:

These accessories would make great holiday gifts for someone or even yourself. What is nice is that they work great as standalone products as well as together. If I had to get just one of these, I would lean toward the stand or the vegan leather case just because of how unique they are. I am personally a big fan of this brand, and it has actually been around for a little bit, so it’s one that has a track record of making iPhone cases.

I also did not even mention their AirPods and MacBook accessories, which are awesome in their own right!

Let me know what you think of these accessories. Do you like the look? Is it something you would use? If you had to pick one of these accessories, which would you go for? Let’s discuss this in the comments below!
