GaN chargers | UGreen 200W + OneWorld65

GaN chargers have been around for a while now, but it’s only relatively recently that the price of the gallium nitride (GaN) has fallen the the point where they are becoming mainstream. The main benefit is high power in a small package.

The UGreen 200W GaN charger claims an astonishing 200W, while the OneWorld65 shows just how compact a Mac travel charger can be …

Review: Pebblebee Card and Clip are like AirTags with Find My, recharging, and unique form factors

Pebblebee Card and Clip

The Pebblebee Card and Clip, like Apple’s AirTag, are Bluetooth-enabled item trackers. Using your iPhone, you can track down lost items like your wallet or keys. For this review, I’ve been trying the Pebblebee Card and Pebblebee Clip for a few weeks now. They’re essentially the same devices, just physically designed to track different items. Let’s see how both products stand up to AirTag…

Review: HidrateSpark Steel water bottle with Apple Health integration

smart water bottle

Last month, Hidrate launched the HidrateSpark PRO STEEL with 32 oz (around 900 ml). This water bottle features a premium look and Apple Health integration and I must admit, I got a bit too excited about a water bottle that reminds me to drink water.

With that in mind, I decided to buy the HidrateSpark Steel water bottle with 21 oz (620 ml) a few weeks ago to understand whether it would improve my daily routine of drinking water to have a pretty nice bottle to carry around. Discover how it’s going below.

Disclaimer: HidrateSpark Steel and HidrateSpark PRO are the same water bottles, the company just rebranded the first with the latter.

Here’s a non-pro look at how the new 14″ MacBook Pro stacks up

M1 Pro MacBook Pro

In November, Apple launched the 2021 MacBook Pro. Available in two sizes (14- and 16-inch), the company also introduced two new chips, the M1 Pro and the M1 Max. While I thought this new Mac would be overkill to me – I didn’t need the ports, ProMotion, miniLED, or the processor – I recently broke my 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro and needed a replacement.

Between buying the entry-level 2020 M1 MacBook Air and the new 14-inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro, I decided to go with the latter. Here’s my review of this computer from a heavy but non-pro user perspective.

The iOS App Icon Book Review: a celebration of app icons of the past

the app icon book

It’s been nearly 15 years since the first iPhone was launched and almost as long since the creation of Apple’s App Store. In that time, millions of apps have found their way onto Apple devices – each with its own distinctive icon. As a relatively new form of art, The iOS App Icon Book is unlike most other art books you will come across.

Tested: The Tribit StormBox Micro 2 Bluetooth speaker has absolutely no right to be this good

Tribit StormBox Micro 2 review

When it comes to speakers, there are laws of physics and rules of economics which are hard to defy. A pocketable speaker that costs $60 simply isn’t going to be any good. Yet the Tribit StormBox Micro 2 somehow is.

The laws of speaker physics say that you need a decent-sized driver and housing to sound good, especially when it comes to bass. The rules of economics say that good sound costs money. But audio companies are increasingly sticking their thumbs up to both …

Satechi Slim X3 Bluetooth Backlit Keyboard review: A more affordable alternative to the Magic Keyboard

satechi keyboard

Designed with Apple users in mind, the Satechi Slim X3 Backlit Keyboard is a cost-effective alternative to Apple’s Magic Keyboard. It has some of the same features of the Magic Keyboard as well as some additional ones.

I’ll be comparing the Satechi keyboard to Apple’s Magic Keyboards (without Touch ID, with Touch ID, numerical with Touch ID). Here’s how Satechi stands against Apple.
