Apple has published a new support document today detailing more about Vision Pro’s support for Bluetooth accessories. Notably, the company has confirmed that “Apple Vision Pro also isn’t compatible with Bluetooth mice.”

My pal Jacob and I trekked over to the Apple Store in New Orleans this morning to be customers #1 and #2 on Apple Vision Pro launch day. We both went for the half hour Vision Pro demo sessions that stores are now offering. The verdict? If you’re at all interested in experiencing Apple Vision Pro, you just have to find the nearest Apple Store and take advantage of the opportunity.

It was nice to finally experience some of the things Chance Miller hasn’t stopped talking about since June. But my experience isn’t really complete yet. My memory of using Apple Vision Pro so far is distant and blurry. That’s because there weren’t optical inserts for my particular corrective lens prescription. Still, I had to try Apple Vision Pro, and it was an interesting 30 minutes.

Apple Vision Pro doesn’t have any ports other than the magnetic connector for attaching the battery, so it was unclear whether there would be any way to transfer data between Vision Pro and another device by wire connection. Now Apple has confirmed that there is a way and has introduced a new “Developer Strap” accessory that adds a USB-C port to the Vision Pro.

Flexibits wasted no time preparing the Fantastical experience for Apple Vision Pro. Michael Simmons, the mind behind the best calendar app, said over the summer that taking advantage of Apple’s Vision Pro developer sessions “helped us start thinking not just about left to right or up and down, but beyond borders at all.” That’s a serious teaser, and now the result of their work is ready for Vision Pro customers.

Apple Vision Pro is finally here – at least in the United States. Announced last June at WWDC 2023, Apple’s mixed reality headset is now available in stores with prices starting at $3,499. And after visiting the Apple Fifth Avenue store this morning, Apple CEO Tim Cook compared the launch of the Vision Pro to the launch of the iPhone and other Apple products.

Adobe has announced that its popular generative AI app Firefly is coming to Vision Pro. The company says the experience is “purpose-built for visionOS” and will help users “bring their creative visions to life.” While the app usually costs generative credits, Adobe is making it free to use the text to image AI on Vision Pro until March.

Apple has published a new support document detailing certain situations in which Vision Pro performance could be degraded. According to Apple, Vision Pro has “built-in software and hardware systems” that is “automatic, always-on, and works to provide the best possible performance.”

Apple has also published a support document with more details on the Vision Pro battery pack itself.

On Vision Pro launch day, Disney has shared more details about its content plans for Apple’s first spatial computer. The company says that Vision Pro users will be able to watch “42 Disney films in stunning 3D” starting today, with more to come as time progresses.

“Disney stands out in the media industry because we’re a company that sits at the intersection of groundbreaking technology with unparalleled creativity,” said Aaron LaBerge, President and CTO of Disney Entertainment and ESPN. “Now, with Apple Vision Pro, we’re able to bring the experience with our stories into a whole new dimension of immersion.”

In a new interview with Wallpaper, Apple design executives Alan Dye and Richard Howarth offered some new details on Apple Vision Pro’s design language. The piece also includes a variety of images that offer an “exclusive look inside Apple Vision Pro.”

Developer Simon B. Støvring is out with not one but two native apps for Apple Vision Pro on launch day. First, there’s a native Apple Vision Pro app for Runestone Text Editor, Simon’s excellent plain text editor with a host of different features.

Second, if you want to use Vision Pro to immerse yourself or those around you in confetti, Simon has released the very fun and whimsical Spatial Sprinkles.

LiveSurface, a popular design visualization app, is now available on Vision Pro with a fully native visionOS application.

“LiveSurface for Apple Vision Pro propels design visualization and presentation to new dimensions, offering a fun, immersive design experience on Apple’s most exciting new platform,” the company says.

Now that Apple Vision Pro is in the hands of the first consumers, Apple has shared a collection of new videos on YouTube. These videos from Apple Support show people how to use Vision Pro, ranging from advice on specific visionOS apps, Guest User support, and more.

Apple has also shared a new Vision Pro called “First-Timer.”

It’s Vision Pro launch day and Apple CEO Tim Cook is celebrating in New York City. In addition to paying a visit to Apple Fifth Avenue, Cook also sat down with Good Morning America to talk about Apple’s foray into spatial computing.

“I think’s going to be used in so many different ways because it’s a spatial computer. You know, the iPhone introduced us to the mobile computer. The Mac introduced us to personal computers,” Cook said. “This is the first spatial computer.”

“A company only has a few of these. Most companies have none. We’ve had the Mac, the iPod, the iPad, the iPhone, the Apple Watch, and now the Vision Pro. It’s one of those moments.”

If you can’t afford or justify your own spatial computer, we learned last year that there would be a Vision Pro guest mode to you borrow someone else’s.

We discovered that Apple doesn’t exactly encourage this, as there are some fairly major gotchas, and a new video now gives an idea of what the experience is like …

There’s no official Vision Pro YouTube app, as Google declined to create one, and also blocked the use of its iPad app, which could otherwise have been used.

Apple will begin taking reservations for Apple Vision Pro demo sessions at Apple Store locations in the US starting Monday. In-store demos start today for walk-in customers on a first come, first serve basis.

It’s officially Apple Vision Pro launch day in the United States. After being announced at WWDC back in June, Apple’s first spatial computer is now available to the masses. The first pre-orders are starting to arrive on customer doorsteps, and the first Apple Stores are now open for in-store pick-ups.

Plus, today marks the first day of Apple Vision Pro demos at Apple stores across the United States.
