iOS 8.2 with Apple Watch app coming today

During the Apple Watch event today, CEO Tim Cook announced that iOS 8.2 for iPhone and iPad will be available today. The update will include the dedicated Apple Watch app we previously reported. The Apple Watch app will be similar to both the App Store app and Tips app, featuring Apple Watch apps and how-to tutorials, while allowing you to manage the Apple Watch.

The update also appears to include the new Fitness app which interfaces with the Apple Watch’s workout capabilities. Beta versions of the update have also included additional information in the Health app.

That’s a really, really ugly, non-iOS 7 like app icon for the Apple Watch app. Also, more bloatware for non Apple Watch buyers!

Agreed on the bloatware comment. I actually have a folder named just that for iOS forced apps. It’s like buying a Dell laptop!

      • Yea true, but with a Dell laptop you can at least uninstall that crap off of it. It really annoys me that you don’t have the option to remove that software from your device.

    is it out yet ?

  3. Is iOS 8.2 available (OTA or not) to download for users with iOS 8.3 Beta installed already?

I was wondering the same thing—then i remembered you can’t go backward with Apple, and OBV ios 8.3 will HAVE to have the same as 8.2 plus more thats why its an update lol. So all of this is leading to me telling you the next beta of 8.3 will include the Apple Watch app for sure; and they usually release betas mid-week starting with Tuesday so tomorrow I say us 8.3ers get to check out that Apple Watch app for ourselves.

Does it do anything other than add bloatware? Any bug fixes?
