Fernando Silva started off his professional career in the enterprise technology space with his primary focus being moving large organizations from onsite legacy technologies to a more modern cloud infrastructure. All the technologies he dealt with were mostly in the Microsoft arena but he was always a lover of Apple at heart.
His love for Apple products started back in 2007 when Steve Jobs announced the first-ever iPhone. From then on, it was a love affair that to this day has only grown stronger. As the years progressed he consumed all sorts of media and content related to Apple and its products. First was the blogs like GSM Arena, CNET, and 9to5 and then he also fell in love with the tech Youtube community.
After picking up the new redesigned 2018 iPad Pro he absolutely loved the form factor and the power that came with it, and he realized that there wasn’t much iPad-related content on YouTube. In 2019 he started his YouTube channel that focused primarily on iPads and productivity. He was able to build his channel and community to 43,000 subscribers.
Hands-on: Three of my favorite task management & productivity apps for macOS
It seems as if our daily lives continue to get increasingly busy, from both a professional and personal perspective. Whether it’s remembering to email an important client or buying a gift for your child’s birthday, there is always something looming – a task that needs to be done. Like many others, I used to think I could just keep tasks in my head and remember everything that I needed to do. A few years ago, I started using task management apps to help structure everything I needed to get done. They have become essential tools that I use to run my everyday life.
Expand Expanding CloseiOS 16 was all about personalization: What will iOS 17 bring? Here is our wishlist [Video]
iOS 16 seemed to be all about personalization, bringing a more customized user experience and collaboration. Apple introduced new features like the customizable Lock Screen, which brought new widgets. They also brought Live Activities and iMessage enhancements like undo send and editing an already sent message. Freeform, the new collaboration app, was introduced as well as a new digital whiteboard to collaborate in real time with other colleagues or students in your class. Even though these were great additions, there are still some features that we want to see in iOS 17 to further improve our iPhone experience. Here is our iOS 17 wishlist!
Expand Expanding CloseHands-on: Three of my favorite games for iPhone and iPad
There seems to be an infinite number of games available on the app store, with the list growing on a daily basis. Games in different genres, different price points, and different use cases. I have spent a minimum of 100 hours, if not more, playing these three games I am about to mention, both on my iPhone and on my iPad Pro. So if you’re an iOS or iPadOS user looking for some great games to play, then these are 100% worth a try.
Expand Expanding CloseHands-on: M2 Mac mini requires you to bring your own accessories, here are our favorites
The M2 Mac mini is, in my opinion, the best bang-for-your-buck computer on the market right now. For $599, or $499 from the education store, you get the brand new M2 chip loaded into the relatively unchanged Mac mini chassis. The baseline computer gives you 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.3, 8-core CPU, and 10-core GPU. Again, for only $599! But with this price point, Apple opted out of including anything in the box aside from the power cable and the Mac mini itself. This means you need some accessories in order to actually use this computer. Here are my picks!
Expand Expanding CloseHands-on: How Plugable’s Docking Stations help turn your iPad into a desktop computer
Plugable has been known to make some high-quality USB-C and Thunderbolt docking stations, ranging from smaller on-the-go solutions to more robust and stationary desktop solutions. I personally used their 13-in-1 Docking Station for years with MacBooks, iPads, and even Windows computers. They are compact, well-built, and most importantly, reliable. But now that some iPads have secondary monitor support, they came up with a docking solution that allows you to use your iPad as a tablet while also giving you the freedom to use a secondary display and treat it as a computer!

Apple released the M2 Mac Mini over two weeks ago, and I have been using it as my main at-home computer since. iOS 16 was released back in September of 2022. It brought plenty of visual changes to the iPhone and also changed how we interact with it, especially the lock screen. AirPods have been one of Apple’s best-selling products of all time, second to the iPhone. In 2021 they sold $12.7 Billion dollars worth of AirPods, which is more than the revenue of companies like Spotify, Twitter, and Shopify. Then in 2022, they sold 19.3 Million units; keep in mind, this is just a single product, not an entire company. With so many AirPods owners, you would think people would be more aware of some of its features. Of course, we have transparency mode and noise cancellation, but Airpods can do so much more!

Back in January 2007, Apple released its first version of the Airport Extreme. It was a wireless router that supported 802.11n of Wi-Fi and could be used as a print and storage server as well. But then in 2016, we saw Apple’s last version of the AirPort extreme, and it was fully off the shelves by 2018. Now, five years later, it seems like the only thing missing from Apple’s ideal HomeKit network would be a new AirPort router that uses things like HomePods as mesh points. Parker Ortolani shows us what the could ideally look like.

In 2018, Apple redesigned the iPad Pro, and customers, including myself, were in awe of this beautiful piece of hardware. I have tried them all, from simple to-do list managers in my notes app all the way to the big hitters like Monday, Todist, Asana, ClickUp & Notion. They all did what I needed them to do, but there was always something that made me stop using them, whether it was just offering too much or not enough.

When Apple released the Magsafe Duo back in December 2020, most people (including myself), thought it was a great idea. Expand Expanding CloseFreeform: Hands-on with Apple’s new secret weapon [Video]
During Apple’s June WWDC keynote, Apple introduced a new collaboration software called Freeform. They spoke about this as a new flexible canvas whiteboard that can be used by multiple users in real-time, giving collaborators the ability to see, share, and contribute to projects dynamically. Think of this as the modern-day brainstorming session, but virtual.
It’s important to note that Freeform will be available with the release of iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS 13.1. At the time of writing this article, it is available in the developer beta program and should be released to the entire public by the end of November 2022.
