WhatsApp for iOS is always working on a handful of new features. Over this year, the app introduced Reactions, the ability to migrate the chat history from iOS to Android (and vice versa), and many more other features. But now, Mark Zuckerberg’s messenger app is planning to add a bit of a controversial feature: the ability to watch Status directly from WhatsApp’s chat list.

For those who enjoy participating in WhatsApp groups, the app is working on a few new features. After expanding the capacity of participants available in a group, the app is currently developing a function that lets you quietly quit a group without all members being notified.

Now, WhatsApp is planning to bring yet another feature for groups – except that this one will let you search for past participants of the chat you are in.

Five years ago, WhatsApp released the ability to delete sent messages. While this feature is still pretty handy, it’s kind of weird when you incorrectly send a sticker or misspell a word and need to delete the message, correct it, and then send it again.

The problem here is that WhatsApp lets the other user know that you deleted a message. Now, a better solution is finally in the works.

WhatsApp for iOS will soon get an interesting feature: the ability to leave groups silently. With the app now offering up to 512 people in a group chat, it’s only natural people don’t want to see when every member leaves the group. With that in mind, in a future update, users will be able to leave a group chat without other users noticing.
