Belkin is out with several notable announcements at CES 2020 this evening across its Belkin, Linksys, and Wemo brands. There’s a new Wemo smart plug with HomeKit support, a wide array of new Belkin charging accessories, and more. Read on for all of the details.
Belkin has launched three new Qi wireless chargers today, all optimized for iPhone 8 and later. The new options in the Boost Up Charge lineup include a wireless stand, pad, and vent mount for cars.
Belkin is out today with a line of new Lightning and USB-C cables. The new Boost Up Charge cables include a USB-C to Lightning version, USB-A to Lightning, and more. The company highlights durability and style as key features of the braided nylon cables that include integrated leather cable management.
Belkin is out today with a new portable Apple Watch power bank that offers users about 3.5 charges in a compact form factor. The Boost Up Charge Power Bank 2K for Apple Watch is MFi certified and just three inches long.
Belkin’s Boost Up Special Edition Wireless Charging Dock for iPhone + Apple Watch (plus an extra USB port) is exclusively available through Apple or direct from the manufacturer. We’ve been testing out this charging solution and even if AirPower was available, it would give it a run for its money. Belkin continues to bring HomeKit support to its smart home accessories, and the Wemo WiFi Smart Dimmer is the latest to join the club. Wemo HomeKit support is retroactively being added through a free software update starting today. Wemo was first to use a new software authentication method for certifying HomeKit devices with its Mini Smart Plug earlier this year.
In addition to the charging USB issues some iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max users are facing, users of the Belkin PowerHouse and Valet docks have found them not compatible with Apple’s newest smartphones. Belkin has acknowledged the issue, but hasn’t offered any details on why.
Belkin has shared its latest dual charging docks for iPhone and Apple Watch with the BOOST UP Wireless Charging Dock being the flagship product of the lineup. There’s also a new PowerHouse Charge Dock and both new products are designed to work with iPhone XS, Max, and XR in addition to previous iPhones.

One of the interesting tidbits from yesterday’s Apple keynote is that the latest iPhones will support wireless charging for the first time. Earlier today we reported that Apple was partnering with one screen protector company, likely Belkin, to offer professional installations of screen protectors done by machines. Now, a report from MacOtakara says that Apple has started rolling out its screen protector installation service in Japan and that it has in fact partnered with Belkin to do so, just as we reported this morning.
